In a significant step toward enhancing academic and operational excellence, the team of Educational Quality Enhancement (EQE) coordinators at Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU) has successfully prepared a draft of the Institutional Quality Assurance Policy.

This pivotal initiative reflects the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and maintaining high standards in education, research, and service. The preparation of this comprehensive policy draft was a collective effort, with the active involvement of EQE directorate and all colleges, including the College of Mechanical, Chemical, and Materials Engineering. Representing our college, faculty member and EQE coordinator contributed expertise, ensuring that the draft aligns with the dynamic needs of engineering education and reflects innovative approaches to quality assurance. The draft policy is designed to establish a robust framework for monitoring, evaluating, and enhancing the quality of academic programs, research activities, and institutional governance. It incorporates best practices and emphasizes inclusivity, accountability, and transparency, ensuring ASTU’s position as a leading institution in science and technology education.
