In a strategic move to enhance academic quality and institutional performance, the College of Mechanical, Chemical, and Materials Engineering (CoMCME) has signed a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Agreement with its respective departments. The signing ceremony, held at CoMCME’s meeting hall on February 04, 2025, formalized the commitment to achieving excellence in education, research, and administration.

The agreement was signed between Dr. Shimelis, Dean of CoMCME, and the heads of the college’s three departments:

• Dr. Derese– Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department
• Mr. Hunegnaw– Head of the Chemical Engineering Department
• Dr. Fikadu– Head of the Materials Science and Engineering Department

This KPI agreement sets measurable goals for each department, ensuring alignment with the college’s broader mission and the university’s strategic objectives. The key areas of focus include curriculum development, research productivity, student engagement, faculty performance, and industry collaboration.
