Space Technology Institute (STI) is the Center of Excellence (CoE) for Satellite Technology and Remote Sensing that is one of eight CoEs established at Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU).

STI is determined to play a key role in making Ethiopia a leading country in space technology in Africa.
Mission
To lead space technology development in Ethiopia in the first place to build a space technology cornerstone based on which Ethiopia can move forward to become a leading country in space in Africa.
To develop high-tech for the industrialization of Ethiopia via satellite technology development as a model research institute.
To provide remote sensing and space application services for governmental, industrial, and public uses.
