The educational and research infrastructure for IPS is not well established at the moment. Thus, IPS is expected to perform the necessary research once the advanced equipment is supplied. IPS with its short-term objective of capacity building for the development of API processes, new natural drugs, and new novel drugs needs advanced equipment as the essential component and also education and training for 3 years after beginning the program. Considering the objective of IPS, it is recommended that the following 6 laboratories should be established.
We are delighted to share that we have partnered with A2SV foundation, an organization that aims to discover, develop, and empower the future of African tech talent. A2SV offers a comprehensive program that covers algorithms, problem-solving, software engine equipping students for opportunities at A2SV’s partner top tech companies by improving their problem-solving skills, communication, and personal growth. We hope that our student will make the most of this opportunity.
Laboratory for R&D in the area of microbiology focusing on single cells, multiple cells (cell colonies) or lacking cells and also infectious diseases (between humans and animals)
Natural product medicines can be extracted from micro-organisms, plants and animal cells, tissue, and secretes. The extracts from these natural resources vary in structure and sometimes contain new chemicals. These R&D activities may result in the utilization of natural products and the discovery of new drug-candidate substances.
Pharmacology is the research area for studying the mechanisms of drug actions. It focuses on the interactions between live organic bodies and chemical substances which have some effects on normal or abnormal biochemical functions. If the substance shows pharmacological activities, it can become the candidate substance for new drug development.
Laboratory for R&D in the areas of molecular biology focusing on the interactive activities of bio-molecules in various systems, the interactions of DNA, RNA, proteins, and their biosynthesis and modulation of interactions
