In an event organized by the School of Applied Natural Sciences and attended by scholars from the school, Dr. Ofgaa Jirata, a senior researcher from the Department of Biology, showcased his research finding titled "Development and Validation of White Mango Scale Management Technologies for Sustainable Mango Production in Ethiopia."

ASTU organized a multi-stakeholder platform in which four entities affirmed their readiness to work together. Delegates from Adama Industrial Park, Industrial Project Service and Mada Walabu University visited ASTU on Nov 28, 2024. The objective of the visit was to sign memoradum of understanding so as to engage collaboratively on different issues. The delegates received a warm welcome by the ASTU management team led by Dr. Lemi Guta, President of ASTU.

Delegates from Harbin Railway and Technical College of China and CRCD visited ASTU on Nov-27, 2024 to sign memorandum of Understanding. Dr. Lemi Guta, President of ASTU, in his welcoming speech expressed that the University has collaboration with many Chinese universities.

Delegates of the Russian Academy of Sciences visited ASTU and held a consultative meeting with ASTU’s top management. The consultative meeting was held with the view of exploring potential areas of collaboration. Dr. Lemi Guta, president of ASTU, welcomed the guests and noted that ASTU is keen to establish collaboration with Russian universities.
