



Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU), in collaboration with eight partner institutions from across the globe, is conducting a major international research initiative titled “Policy Learning, Local Knowledge and Advocacy (POLKA) – Strengthening the Link between Practice and Policy for Food Production and Ecosystem Sustainability in Sub-Saharan Africa.”


Delegates from Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU), including Dr. Lemi Guta Enyadene, President, and Dr. Bedasa Abdisa Gonfa, Director of the Office of Internationalization and Partnership, visited Hubei University of Technology (HBUT) in Wuhan, China, on May 28, 2025, to establish a strategic partnership.

Office of Vice President for Administration and Development arranged a training for its Administration Executives and Team Leaders staff on May 22, 2025, at Borati Hall.

The Space Technology Institute (STI) of ASTU held a seminar with experts from South Korea to discuss drone projects. Dr. Silewendim Eshetu, Director of ASTU STI, discussed current practices of ASTU's drone development and challenges. Similarly, Dr. Shimelis Lemma, Dean of ASTU's College of Mechanical, Chemical, and Materials Engineering, talked about the activities of his college and possible areas of collaboration.
