ASTU and BETin entered into the partnership to tackle the widely spread infestation of mango trees in Ethiopia. Dr. Ofgaa Djirata, a senior researcher at ASTU, was selected to lead this project.

ASTU organizes capacity building training on educational quality enhancement

ASTU has organized a successful capacity building training in collaboration with Education and Training Authority (ETA). The participants of the training include top management of the university, middle management members, and department heads.
Mrs. Fikiraddis Jima, Director of Education Quality Enhancement Directorate of ASTU, welcomed all the participants and highlighted the activities accomplished by the directorate.

Gender Affairs Directorate organizes training on research writing and work-life balance

The training is organized for female academic staff members. Dr. Alemu Disasa, Vice President of Research and Technology Transfer, who opened the training at Borati Hall, recalled that the Gender Affairs Directorate has picked an important issue to encourage women's participation. He stressed that there is a need to boost the participation of female academic staff through different mechanisms.
