ASTU organized a multi-stakeholder platform in which four entities affirmed their readiness to work together. Delegates from Adama Industrial Park, Industrial Project Service and Mada Walabu University visited ASTU on Nov 28, 2024. The objective of the visit was to sign memoradum of understanding so as to engage collaboratively on different issues. The delegates received a warm welcome by the ASTU management team led by Dr. Lemi Guta, President of ASTU.

The workshop focused on the ongoing collaborative researchbetween Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IPS) at Adma Science and technology (ASTU) and the Traditional and Modern Medicine Research and Development Directorate (TMMRDD) at the Armauer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI)on Spirulina, a blue-green algae known for its nutritional and medicinal properties.

The 9th National Science and Engineering Fair 2024, organized by the Ministry of Education for all STEM centers across Ethiopia, took place at AASTU from November 11-15. More than 200 participants from various STEM centers across the country competed in this prestigious event. Yonatan Afework, a student from Holy Angels School representing the ASTU-STEM Center, emerged as the winner by presenting an innovative project titled “IoT-Assisted Vertical Feed Producing Machine.”
